Choosing your safe:

We can supply a full range of new and pre-used safes to cater for all levels of domestic and commercial use. Our stock includes Chubb, Rosengren, Tann, Dudley, Securi-Key, SMP, Robur, Kaso, Guardian and many more. Most of our new safes come from Guardian or Chubb, but we have pre-used models safes available for re-sale from a number of suppliers at any one time. Regardless of make or model, the rating given to a safe is generic across all manufacturers. For example, a Grade 2 Chubb is granted the same cash insurance cover as a Grade 2 Dudley and a Grade 5 SMP is granted the same cash insurance cover as a Grade 5 Guardian. The various makes and models of safe may vary slightly in terms of dimensions, weight and style, but we always confirm an exact specification on quotation.

Safe Grades:

Each safe is given an overnight cash rating by insurance companies. The rating for jewellery and valuables is up to ten times the given cash rating. It is important to consider your cash management practices to ensure you select the correct grade. For example, without the facility of lodging into an ATM or night safe, you may need a safe to protect cash taken from a Friday morning through to a Tuesday morning of a bank holiday weekend. The recommended ratings are those normally awarded but it is important to check with your insurance company, as the type of business, location and other security measures may make a difference. The insurance rating on a pre-used safe is the same as that on a new safe. We recondition every pre-used safe so that it’s as good as new. Every safe gets a full service of moving parts and components, new locks and keys are fitted and the safe is fully stripped and painted as new. Every pre-used safe is sold with a re-established 2-year warranty.

Safe Sizes:

In each grade, there are up to six sizes to choose from. Considerations include the physical size of the cash you’re storing (coins take up more space than notes). Do you need to store files, folders, ATM cartridges or till drawers? You should also consider the potential location for the safe and if that location is suitable for the weight.

Safe Locking Options:

All our safes, new and pre-used, come with high-security key locks as standard. Other options include mechanical or digital code locks and time locks. For details on these click here.
